Shahraki, the first Iranian female golfer to compete at the Nagoya Asian Games, called the participation the start of a new chapter for Iranian golf and said it was an honor to take part in the competition. She said Iran will be represented in both the women’s and men’s golf events at the Asian Games, an appearance that has also created an opportunity for women in the sport to compete on the Asian stage.
